Defensive Tackle Tommie Harris sat out his second preseason game on Monday and has been held of some practices as he recovers from his hamstring injury. Although the official word before the game was that he was sitting out due to “general soreness,” Harris acknowledges that he still feels pain in the hamstring, bluntly stating:
I’m going to feel it. I had my hamstring torn off my pelvis. It’s not going to go away.
Harris had surgery to reattach his hamstring last December. Coach Lovie Smith said that if it had been a regular season game, he would have played Harris and this move was just a precaution.
