Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
The list of injured Chicago Bears is growing. The number of starters that either did not practice Wednesday, or who had limited participation, is astonishing. This after the Bears already lost Mike Brown for the season.
In announcement that really surprised no one, today Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith officially announced that Brian Griese will be taking over the quarterbacking duties this Sunday versus the Detroit Lions.
Following the Chicago Bears loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Coach Lovie Smith did not give the media his usual sound bite regarding quarterback Rex Grossman. The Chicago Bears did not show up to play last night and lost a disastrous game 34-10 to the Dallas Cowboys. At halftime the game was tied 3-3, but in the second half, the offense could not do much of anything and the defense struggled after several key injuries.

Despite being released by the Chicago Bears after a series of run-ins with the law, Tank Johnson did not have too much trouble finding a new job. The Dallas Cowboys signed Tank to a two-year contract.
Chicago Bear Lance Briggs will be hosting a charity fashion show. The event, called “Fall into Fashion,” is being co-hosted by Chicago Cubs player Derrek Lee, Chicago Bulls player Chris Duhon, and Ultimate Fighting Champion Andrei Arlovski.
Despite missing his first game in 11 seasons, punter Brad Maynard expects to be back for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. He said that he “absolutely” will play Sunday. |
