I think anyone over the age of 25 should never be caught wearing a Brian Urlacher jersey … except for Brian Urlacher, of course.
That goes for Lance Brigg, Jay Cutler or Brad Maynard jerseys, too.
It’s time to face the facts: You look kind of like a dork when you’re of a certain age and you’re [...]

I’m glad that the Bears picked up linebacker Pia Tinoisamoa. He’s definitely an upgrade, and will look good playing alongside Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher.
By the way some coaches and players are talking about Tinoisamoa, you’d think he was the second coming of Lawrence Taylor.
Last year with the St. Louis Rams, Tinoisamoa was credited with [...]

I’m a sports pessimist. I always expect the worst. Of course, I’m a fan of Chicago sports teams. More often than not, that pessimism is warranted.
I was surprised, then, to read this report by Andrew Maisonneuve at the excellent sports site bleacher report. In his post, Maisonneuve says that the Bears, thanks to the signing, [...]

Bears need a top-form Urlacher, too

Brian Urlacher is a jerk. Listen to him talk to the media and you can tell: This guy is an a-hole. He doesn’t seem like he’s going to win any father-of-the-year awards, either.
Despite this, he’s been the face of the Bears for years. Maybe this is why the team hasn’t won the Super Bowl since [...]

The Chicago Bears ended their mediocre season with a victory over the New Orleans Saints.  Although it meant nothing, it was one of the Bears most entertaining games of the season.  Maybe they should always play like it doesn’t matter.  Kyle Orton looked like a man desperate to prove that he deserves the starting quarterback [...]

Although they had their playoff hopes dashed yesterday, at least four Chicago Bears are smiling today.
Linebacker Lance Briggs, defensive tackle Tommie Harris, kick return God (too much?) Devin Hester and special teams player Brendon Ayanbadejo are all headed to Hawaii.
They are all pros at the Pro Bowl with Devin and Brendon having gone last year [...]

Minnesota Vikings: 20
Chicago Bears: 13
Bears officially eliminated from playoffs
The Chicago Bears lost to the Minnesota Vikings in front of a national television audience on Monday Night Football. Although the Bears had been mathematically still in the playoff race, this loss confirmed what everyone already knew: The Bears will have no post-season this year.
Kyle Orton [...]

Bears lose to Seahawks 30-23

The Chicago Bears lost another game that they could have won today, this time to the Seattle Seahawks. If a few more catchable passes would have been caught, and few more blocks would have been made, this could have had a better outcome than a 30-23 loss.
The first possession of the game for the [...]

Urlacher Hurt, Not Injured

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has admitted that he has been playing through pain this season. Urlacher’s back pain is likely due to arthritis, which no doubt has limited his movement and range.Coach Lovie Smith said that Urlacher is not injured and, if he were, he would not play him. Smith added that [...]

Chicago Bears over Eagles in Dramatic Finish

Chicago Bears: 19
Philadelphia Eagles: 16
The last one minute and 53 seconds of the game was as exciting as the rest of the game was boring. The first three and a half quarters amounted to a dull field kicking duel, but that the last offensive drive by the Bears to take the win was nothing [...]
