I was in downtown Chicago yesterday when I saw someone wearing a Muhsin Muhammed Bears jersey.
At first I was amazed. Muhammed didn’t exactly have a stellar career while in a Bears uniform. In fact, near the end of his tenure here, it really was “boo” — and not “Mooooose!” — that you heard when he [...]
The annual Bears Expo took place last weekend at Soldier Field. Of course, most of the buzz there centered on new quarterback Jay Cutler.
But there was an interesting sidebar, of course, centering on the Bears’ weak cast of wide receivers. According to a story in the Sun-Times, several attendees at the expo questioned Bears general [...]
Maybe Jerry Angelo doesn’t know the difference between tight ends and wide receivers. But yesterday, the Bears signed tight end Michael Gaines to a one-year deal. You can read about the move in this story by ESPN.
That makes five tight ends on the roster. And still no wide receiver who’s worth much.
According to the ESPN [...]
Let’s hope Jerry Angelo was lying. But in a story on the Bears house organ, ChicagoBears.com, Angelo says that the Bears receivers have impressed him at rookie minicamp.
Really? Late-round picks at wide receiver rarely turn out well for the Bears. I have a feeling that quarterback Jay Cutler’s going to wish he had some real [...]
As a Bears fan, I’m never too cocky. I’ve seen too much bad — and often boring — football for that. So when the Bears somehow pulled off a miracle and signed quarterback Jay Cutler earlier this year, I steeled myself for the upcoming disapointment.
Cutler’s best wide receiver is Devin Hester. Really. Don’t be surprised [...]

Chicago Bears wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad was cut from the squad yesterday after accumulating his fewest number of receptions in a season since 1997. I think that the loss of Moose will be fairly strong, unless they pick up a new wide receiver in the draft. He has certainly been a fan favorite. I guess [...]
Although they had their playoff hopes dashed yesterday, at least four Chicago Bears are smiling today.
Linebacker Lance Briggs, defensive tackle Tommie Harris, kick return God (too much?) Devin Hester and special teams player Brendon Ayanbadejo are all headed to Hawaii.
They are all pros at the Pro Bowl with Devin and Brendon having gone last year [...]

Redskins: 24
Bears: 16
Last night’s Chicago Bears loss to the Washington Redskins may not be as costly to the line-up as originally thought. When Rex Grossman went down with a knee injury, it looked serious enough to not only end his season, but to impact his ability to play next year.
Today the Bears announced that Rex [...]
New York Giants: 21
Chicago Bears: 16
Although, granted, the New York Giants were beating themselves for most of the game, the Chicago Bears really should have come down with this victory today. Instead, following a late score, the Giants beat the Bears on their home turf.
The Bears had their own problems, dropping passes they [...]
Chicago Bears Devin Hester had a great game last Sunday against the Denver Broncos. He returned a punt and a kick-off for touchdowns, breaking the Bears single-season return record.
Here a video that shows both of his great returns.
